Gaudy Night Part I
In celebration of a completely new layout and as a thank you to everyone who has been waiting very very patiently, I give you - Gaudy Night Part I!

This is the third of Dorothy L. Sayers' Lord Peter Wimsey/Harriet Vane books and was butchered horribly when they translated it to the screen. So, I have tried to augment the images with quotes from the book as well as the movie. This the the first of probably three posts for this particular movie, so if there's something you're looking for and not seeing please request it.

The 1987 BBC production starred Edward Petherbridge as Lord Peter and Harriet Walter as Harriet Vane.

I LOVE them. Just a few comments, though - #25 seems to be missing a word, and I can't tell if that's supposed to be "detecting" in #46, or if I'm reading it wrong.

They're lovely, though. *stares* I'm going to have to come back when I'm not dying of midterms, and steal, oh, all of them.

Lovely icons! I am sitting right now on the spot occupied by Shrewsbury College in the book, so I have a special weakness for them. :)

i really like the qoutes, especially in 19.
i hope i can do a request with that qoute; could you please sometimes post that text in a text-only icon, with classical writing? :)

Have taken 47 and 53 - will credit of course, and thank you so much!

Taking basically all of the text-only ones. I am sloooowly savoring my way through Lord Peter, since I want to make the books last as long as I possibly can, so I haven't gotten to Gaudy Night yet, but I know these icons will come in handy shortly. ;-)

These are just lovely, the one saying 'Bunter - he's the man' made me laugh... so true XD. Also, your new banner is fabulous, awww Bogie/Bacall.

I've taken several. Oddly, I was just watching this last night and have been lamenting my lack of Lord Peter icons in general. Thanks.

Such wonderful icons! They've made my day, thank you.

Only the awesomeness (and gorgeousness in her case) of Harriet Walter and Edward Petherbridge redeems the hideously butchered adaptation.

And wheeee, you're gonna do more GN icons!!!

Fantastic. Great choice of quotes and I like the sort of sepia tone the non-text icons have got. Will definitely credit any time I use any of them.
