250 War and Peace icons
How is it possible to describe this movie? Audrey Hepburn, Mel Ferrer, Jeremy Brett, Henry Fonda and costume drama into the bargain. Oh the brilliance. I was fiddling around with different coloring on this batch and ended up with a really cool 1950s hand tinted feel. The last 17 are all promotional stills from the film. This is batch one of two. Enjoy!

Beautiful job! I should watch that movie again sometime. I was sick when I saw it on TV several years ago, and the whole thing floated by in a dreamlike Motrin-induced haze. :-) Consequently, I remember very little of it.

By the way, you might enjoy my recent Audrey post, over at my LJ.

What a lovely blog! I love all those movies that you featured. And who would have imagined Blythe Danner was five months pregnant in THAT dress!?

Oh these are gorgeous! I didn't even know this film existed, but I'm slightly obsessed with early 19th century Russia at the moment, so I may have to go and find it. Can't decide, so taking a few. Thanks!
